Congratulations to our Cross Country teams who finished their season with amazing performances at the FLYRA state championships in Lakeland!
JUNIOR XC RESULTS (3rd-5th Grade)
The Boy’s Elementary Team won:
#1 for schools in the state for the seventh time & #3 for all teams in Florida!
Three boys are in the Top 20 individuals in the state for their age group:
Aiden Cruz (5th grade) at #5
Jordan Castillo (4th grade) at #18
David Rodriguez (5th grade) at #20
Riley Fernandez (2nd grade) placed #6 in the state for the 1000m.
In addition: Aiden Cruz, Jordan Castillo, David Rodriguez, and Brendan Borges-Telleria are in the Top 10 All Time CEA History for boys over the 2k distance. Valeria Avila-Rivera, Amelia Barredo, and Nichole Escalante Serrao are in the Top 10 All Time CEA History for girls over the 2K distance, and 15 out of 17 students set personal records.
SENIOR XC RESULTS (6th – 8th Grade)
The Girls’ Senior XC Team is officially #3 in in Florida!
Two girls are in the Top 20 individuals in the state for their age group:
Valentina Sarcos (6th grade) at #8
Graziella Gerstl (8th grade) at #14
In addition: Valentina’s individual place finish is our second best ever in school history. Valentina Sarcos and Graziella Gerstl also achieved top two fastest times in All Time CEA History, followed by Madeleine Rodriguez in 6th, Emme Reyes in 8th and Isabel Gonzalez in 14th. Gilberto Avila, Miles Charles, and Nickolas Canela all jumped into the Top 20 All Time CEA History, and 11 out 14 students set personal records.
