ISSF Star Students

Each year the Independent Schools of South Florida (ISSF) allows each school to designate up to three students as STARS.

These students are those who have shown outstanding ability and achievement in academics, sports, community service, the arts, and/or effort.

This year’s STAR students are:

Cristina Escardo

Cristina Escardo was selected for being an outstanding example of leadership and scholarship. Cristina is wise beyond her years, grounded, and committed to the success of her community. She is a dedicated student across all areas and is an excellent example of responsibility, loyalty, and citizenship.

Alexander Moratinos

Alexander Moratinos was selected for being an outstanding example of citizenship, individuality, and loyalty. Alexander demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment in everything he does, has a dynamic personality, and is an excellent example of what it means to be true to oneself.

Catalina Vigil

Catalina Vigil was selected for being an outstanding example of discipline and constancy, and for her unwavering dedication to her school and the arts. Catalina personifies hard work and dedication. She gives her all to everything she puts her mind to and has demonstrated exemplary respect, discipline, and focus towards dance and academics.
