Family Affair has been a decades-long tradition at Conchita Espinosa Academy. On Saturday, March 5, 2022, the CEA community came together for a carnival-style event held on our campus, where families come together for games, rides, food, our 7th and 8th grade kickball game, alumni events, and tons of fun.

Congratulations to the 8th grade students who were inducted into honor societies on March 2nd. Students were inducted into National Junior Honor Society, Nu Alpha Delta Dance Honor Society, Junior International Thespian Society, National Junior Art Honor Society, and Tri M Music Honor Society. They have all demonstrated to be excellent examples of scholarship, citizenship, character, and leadership.
Theatre and Cinema Masteries had a wonderful presentation organized by Ms. L in honor of Black History Month, where students engaged in conversation and listened to stories from African Americans in the arts. Students had the opportunity to speak to three powerful individuals in the arts and prepared questions to drive conversation and reflection afterwards.
Each year on February 23rd, we celebrate Conchita Day. Yesterday, CEA soccer teams hosted Rainbow Christian for the South Florida Christian Private School League Championship. Presidential physical fitness testing wrapped up in December, and includes six challenges: curl-ups, pull-ups, push-ups, the sit-and-reach, the 30-foot “shuttle run,” and the one-mile endurance run. This year’s top three placements in the school were (in order) Mila Bonachea, Amelia Barredo and Christopher Cuesta. Congratulations!
