On October 4th, the Cross Country teams competed at the Larry Wooten Invitational.
Both Varsity teams came back as champions! The boys placed eight runners in the top 21, led by Moss Haushalter’s second place finish. Other medalists included Luis Moringlane (fourth), Andres Grande (eighth), Michael Martinez (12th), Eric Reus (13th), and Santiago Atienza (14th). The girls had five medalists in the top 10, led by Lainey Fernandez‘s first place victory. Graziella Gerstl finished third, followed by Madeleine Rodriguez in sixth, Valentina Aurich in ninth, and Luciana Guevara in 10th place.
Chase Chavez was the winner of the JV race with a personal record time of 15:15.17 for the 2.1 mile race. Nicholas Canto finished second, followed by Maurizio Ludovic and Gilberto Avila in seventh and 10th place. All four runners set personal records.
We are incredibly proud of our teams and our their amazing Coach Carlos, who has continually led them to be the best runners they can! Keep making your school proud!
