Family Affair 2022

Family Affair has been a decades-long tradition at Conchita Espinosa Academy.  On Saturday, March 5, 2022, the CEA community came together for a carnival-style event held on our campus, where families come together for games, rides, food, our 7th and 8th grade kickball game, alumni events, and tons of fun.

The day was perfect in every way, from the gorgeous weather to the smiling faces of so many of our past and present students and families. The feeling of community, love, and joy was felt in every inch of the campus. Eileen Press (Madison’s mom, 7^th grade) did an amazing job as chairperson for Family Affair. She was organized, calm, diligent, and, with the help of our many parent volunteers, worked to ensure everything ran smoothly. 

A very special thank you goes to Blanca Sordo, who was our Family Affair Chair for many years while her children were at CEA. Although her two children already graduated (Andy, class of 2016, and Emily, class of 2021), Blanca still made time to be an advisor for the organization of this year’s Family Affair, going above and beyond the call of duty and demonstrating her tremendous love and dedication to the CEA family.

Thank you to every single mom, dad, abuela, and abuelo who volunteered, whether grilling burgers, making smoothies, peeling corn, or selling those beautiful hair accessories and tutus, each and every one of you made a difference in making this a memorable, beautiful, and fun event.
