Each year, we come together to provide food for those who most need the support in our community through the Chief Press Foundation. For over 13 years, Key Biscayne Police Chief Charles Press (ret.) and Madison’s dad (CEA class of 2023), has worked with his department to positively impact the relationship between the police and the children in Liberty City. The Chief Press Foundation founded a local food pantry located at the Belafonte Tacolcy Community Center in Liberty City, which gives hundreds of families access to basic food staples, which they use throughout the year.
All of the non-perishable foods collected will extend beyond Thanksgiving to benefit the Chief Press Foundation Belafonte Tacolcy Community Center Food Pantry in Liberty City.
Thank you to Ms. White and Ms. Batista for their efforts in leading the drive, to the Caring Cougars Junior Mastery, to our entire school community who came together to donate these food items, and to our seventh grade helpers who supported in carrying and loading the items. We really are a community!
