Alumni
Once you are a member of the CEA family, you will always remain a part of the CEA family. The CEA family includes alumni, parents, and teachers and staff, who together make up the Faces of Conchita.
It brings us great joy to hear about the lives and achievements of our alumni and of those who have passed through our hallways throughout the years. For this reason, we have started the Faces of Conchita. Faces of Conchita is a way of keeping us united: alumni, parents and family members, and teachers and staff, by keeping everyone up to date with the happenings in our CEA community.
Please write to us to say hello. Write to us to tell us how you are doing and where life has taken you. No matter how much time has passed, the Faces of Conchita are clear in our minds and always present in our hearts. Each and every person who has passed through Conchita has left their unique mark, the same way that Conchita left a mark in you. |

LEGACY TREE
Your name will be engraved on a metal leaf that will bring the Legacy Tree to life.
This is a unique opportunity for all kind-hearted alumni to give back and at the same time be recognized in your alma mater.
Dear CEA Alumni,
We are finally on the path of achieving Mrs. Diaz’s long-lived dream of creating an official Alumni Association. Conchita Espinosa Academy has always been “more than a school” to every individual that has walked its halls. It is a place we all call home. As students, we were always motivated to grow to our fullest potential. Our life’s roots are deeply planted because of the solid foundation Conchita fostered in each and every one of us.
The Conchita Espinosa Legacy Tree has been “planted” in anticipation of forming our very own Alumni Association. The leaves of the Legacy Tree will give alumni the opportunity to give back. The donations received will allow us to enhance the educational opportunities for our students.
Conchita Espinosa Academy always nurtured us and encouraged us to be “mejor, mejor, y mejor.” All of us make a difference in transforming CEA and supporting the institution to be able to advance to the next horizon. Help us nourish our tree and continue to give new students the opportunities we were so fortunate to have. With your help, Conchita Espinosa Academy will continue to flourish!

These commemorative bricks are a great way to leave a lasting mark on our campus and support Conchita's legacy. For each brick purchased, you will receive a special Certificate of Registration recognizing your contribution and confirming the inscription you have submitted as it will appear on the engraved brick. Space for bricks is limited, and they will be installed in the order in which registrations are received. Leave your legacy today on the CEA campus with a personalized Legacy Road Brick.

Ashley Alvarez
I graduated from CEA in 2001. While I was there, I was always very aware of how significant the arts were to living a fruitful and fulfilling life. My favorite memories from CEA include the many ballet and Cuban dance classes I took during and after school, being a part of the school plays and participating in shows. I remember performing a Gloria Estefan solo in 6th grade after just entering CEA, and I was so nervous! But after seeing the warm reception from my teachers and so many of my classmates, I really started to build my confidence in not only starting a new school, but also in performing. I don't think I would have been granted that wonderful opportunity at any other school. After graduating from Lourdes and receiving my BFA in theater from FIU, I moved to Chicago for a couple of years and truly started to hone my passion in performing on stage. My husband and I moved to New York City in 2014, and he began writing a play called The Cubans, to bring more representation of the Latino community on stage. I am thrilled to be performing in this play now as the main character, Christy, at Miami New Drama at the Colony Theatre. This career can be challenging and unpredictable, but I think back to many of my memories at CEA and realize that performing and expressing myself through the arts has always been such a large part of who I am. I am so grateful to have been surrounded by such a supportive environment at CEA, where the arts were not only included in the curriculum, but also reinforced as a crucial component of leading a rich and meaningful life. |
