Steve Hernandez
Class of 1992

My name is Steve M. Hernandez and I am a proud 1992 Alumni of Conchita Espinosa Academy. I entered Conchita in the second grade. After graduating from Conchita I went on to graduate from Christopher Columbus High School. I continued on to earn an associates in Fire and EMS Management. To this day, I continue my education to earn certificates related to the Fire and EMS service.

Conchita Espinosa gave me the foundation in education that I use every day of my life as a family man, leader and team player. We moved to the Chicago area 10 years ago and today I am a Firefighter/Paramedic working for the U.S. Department of Energy at Fermilab National Accelerator in Batavia, IL. (a suburb of Chicago). I also work for the City of Batavia as a Firefighter/Medic and assist with my Dad's restaurant that has been in my father's family for over forty years.

I am a proud husband and father of 11 year old twin girls. If we had continued to live in Miami, we would have loved to given our girls the educational experience at Conchita. It was an honor to have Conchita Espinosa herself as my piano teacher and Ronn Daniels as my tap instructor. The education and cultural arts that Conchita Espinosa Academy has to offer is part of the many experiences that helped mold me to the man I am today.
