I had the honor of graduating from Conchita in 2000. I went on to attend Our Lady of Lourdes Academy for high school, and in 2008, I graduated from the University of Miami with a B.A. in English Literature and a B.S. in Biology. I attended law school at Florida State University College of Law, graduated in 2012, and passed the New York Bar. I have been living in New York City since then.
Nothing is as big a part of me as Conchita. It made me who I am today. Conchita cultivated in me a love of learning that drove me to earn two bachelor degrees and a law degree, and the bilingual education I received proved invaluable as an immigration lawyer. But most importantly, Conchita instilled in me compassion and a love for the world and all of its inhabitants.
I am eternally grateful to Conchita for its distinct and unparalleled arts-driven curriculum. Few people have the privilege of attending a school that encourages such creativity and well-roundedness. Without this foundation, I don’t think I would be where I am today. After having my son, Levi, I started my own business on Etsy called Casa Confetti Design Studio, where I have enjoyed great success designing birthday, baby shower, bridal shower, and wedding invitations, while still being able to enjoy motherhood to the fullest.
Although I have lived in New York City for the last 5+ years, Conchita remains my home. The friendships I built at Conchita have proven to be lifelong, and my CEA family is irreplaceable. I will be returning to Miami, FL, next month with my husband, Jake, and my son, and I can’t wait to begin the next chapter of our CEA story.
