Michael Perez (8th Grade) won the essay contest to introduce Heather Brewer,  author of The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod series, at a reading and signing at Books and Books in Coral Gables.  Students from all over Dade County submitted essays and Michael had the winner!  Great work, Michael!



Congratulations, Franchesca Cabal-Ugaz, 2010 Middle School Spelling Champion and Michael Perez, runner-up.  The spellling bee lasted over an hour. Franchesca will go on to represent CEA at the Miami Herald Spelling Bee.



Congratulations, 4th and 5th Grade Spelling Bee winner Camila Basora and runner-up Lucas Rodriguez.  Great Job!



Congratulations, Samantha Rodriguez (5th Grade), the 2010 CEA Geography Bee winner and Andres Artime (6th Grade) runner-up. Samantha will take the National Geography Bee Contest next week for a chance to compete at the state level.  Good luck!

Michael Perez - Silver in Science
Ignacio de Socarraz-Novoa - Gold in Math
Michael Gonzalez - Silver in English



Congratulations to Ignacio de Socarraz-Novoa and Michael Gonzalez, gold medalists at the Christopher Columbus Academic Olympics.  Ignacio won the gold in math and Michael won the gold in English. Congratulations to them and their teachers who have prepared them so well throughout the year!



Meet the 5th Grade Dade Association of Academic Nonpublic Schools (DAANS) Spelling Team. They will represent CEA at the DAANS Spelling Bee on November 3, 2009! Good Luck - Sofia Gomez, Karina Gonzalez, Alvaro Aragon, Marco Perosch, and Christopher Caballero!
