Julia Rodriguez-Elliot from A Noise Within will be teaching all theatre advisory and conservatory classes from November 7-12, 2013.

A Noise Within (ANW) was founded in 1992 by Geoff Elliott, Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, and Art Manke. The twenty-year evolution from a small neighborhood theatre to the current state-of-the-art facility in Pasadena, CA has been marked by constantly raising the bar on what great classical theatre can be.

Julia Rodriguez-Elliot is a CEA Alumni (c/o 1974). She went on to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Florida and a Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theatre. Ms. Rodriguez-Elliott has extensive experience teaching theatre to students from middle school to college and regularly conducts workshops as part of ANW’s educational programming. Ms. Rodriguez-Elliott has served on many theatre panels and regularly conducts lectures at the California Institute for the Arts and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, among others. She is also a grant panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts (N.E.A).

Over the past 20 years, ANW has achieved prominence among Southern California’s best theatres, earning 26 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards, a Polly Warfield Award for Excellence, and the Margaret Harford Award for Distinguished Achievement. Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, were honored with the inaugural alumni “Contributions to the Field Award” by the American Conservatory Theatre (A.C.T.), which honors distinguished alumni and supporters who have contributed significant leadership in the field of theatre locally and nationally beyond their role as actors and founders. Fellow honorees were The William Randolph Hearst Foundation, Annette Bening, and Elizabeth Banks.

C.E.A. brings out the extraordinary in every child.
