4th grade field trip to St. Augustine, Florida

On February 5, 4th grade had their field trip to St. Augustine, Florida as a part of their study of Florida history and the development of Florida. It was a wonderful trip where they were able to understand from a real sailor how the original settlers were able to find the New World, steer the original ships, and use the stars to find their way to land. They also learned about colonial tools, colonial games, how to write with a quill pen and ink, how to grind corn, candle-making, and more fun activities that helped enhance their understanding of the history of their state.
