FeatureD Alumni:
Class of 2001 |
Claudia Medina
I graduated from Conchita in 2001. I started in pre-primary, and am happy to see how Conchita has grown throughout the years. After Conchita, I went to Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart where I graduated with highest honors. I then received my undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, where I studied political science and held various leadership positions. I served as the Vice President of Student Government and was initiated into Iron Arrow, the highest honor attainable at the University of Miami.
After college, I went to law school at Emory University. At Emory, I was a member of the Moot Court Society and served as President of the Latin American Law Students Association. I graduated from Emory in 2012. I now practice civil litigation in Miami and am involved in the Cuban American Bar Association. Also, I am very happy to add that I will be getting married this September.
Conchita was a wonderful place to learn because it stressed the importance of academic discipline and also instilled an appreciation for the arts. It provided me with a well-rounded education which really gave me an edge in high school and the rest of my academic career. Being a part of Conchita was like being a part of one big family. I will always be grateful to Conchita for all the lasting friendships I made and all the loving teachers I had.
