Amor en Acción

Dear Parents,

At CEA, upper school students have the opportunity to participate in a club named Amor en Acción, a non-profit organization that raises money to support our sister school in Haiti. Teachers at our sister school only make an average of $40 a month, and students may only eat once a day from the meal provided at the school. The money that Amor en Acción raises is used specifically for the students' lunches and the teachers' salaries. Everything that is sent to Haiti is done through missionaries who go on foot to deliver the money and supplies to the archdiocese schools in Haiti. The trip from the point where the missionaries arrive and the sister school is about a 4-hour walk.

This year, Amor en Acción has a lot of support throughout upper school. We have forth members in total representing our school club. Throughout the year, Amor en Acción will be hosting fundraisers, such as bake sales and Valentine's Day grams, to raise money to achieve our goal of $3,000. We ask you to please continue to support us in our fundraisers to help us surpass our goal this year.
