Ashley Marie Lapadula

I am currently a reporter and producer for Univision 23 in South Florida. Conchita Espinosa Academy taught me from an early age the importance of a bilingual education. I will forever be grateful to Conchita for implementing Spanish in their classrooms and ensuring that every student learns to write and speak Spanish. The strong academic foundation and immersion of the arts was an essential component to achieve my dream of being a journalist. Now 23 years later, I am a bilingual journalist for a Spanish news network. I produce a community program once a week, “Ahora en Nuestra Comunidad,” where I often report on topics ranging from health, education, safety, local events, and politics. I am very fortunate and happy to have been part of the CEA family where I made great memories and learned the importance of being a well-rounded individual. Thank you to all the teachers, the administration, and the staff for continuing Conchita’s vision which ultimately led me to achieve my dream.
