After CEA, I went to Belen Jesuit for high school. After Belen, I attended Fordham University in New York, but finished my undergraduate education at FIU. I am now going to Nova Southeastern University for my Master’s in Business Administration.
After having DJ-ed for 15 years, I decided that I wanted to start using my business and social skills in the work place, while still staying in the music business. My latest project is the launch of my very own record label. The label, called Bad Dog Records, releases music by artists from all over the world, including Miami and The Netherlands. We travel all over the world showcasing our artists - who mainly consist of DJs and producers - and their music. Most of the venues we play at are nightclubs and music festivals.
I created this record label out of my love for music, which comes from my time at CEA. I learned to play the piano at the Conchita Espinosa Conservatory, and I continue to play to this day. I nurtured my musical creativity after school, while my teachers, during school, motivated me and taught me the fundamentals that I use while running the business side of the label. Being part of Student Council when I was there, I learned how to deal with politics and compromising, which is essential when dealing with business partners. When I travel abroad, I can thank my teachers for preparing for life outside of CEA, of Miami, and even of our own country. The preparation at Conchita allowed me to become a global citizen.
