Walk for the Future 2015

Walk for the Future. THANK YOU.

Last week brimmed with excitement as we celebrated Spirit Week at CEA, honoring the unique community we have. We had an incredible day on Walk for the Future Friday. The true spirit of CEA wafted through the air as parents joined their children in a walkathon that was the culmination of weeks of effort, hard work, and enthusiasm as we came together as a united community to achieve the goals of 100% participation and to raise $100,000. We raised $92,000 in 10 weeks! That's an accomplishment few groups can claim. We are grateful for every penny, and you know it is all going back into our school to keep it the extraordinary place it is.

This year's funds will go directly to improving our facilities, specifically replacing our roofs. As a community of like-minded people our efforts create a sense of unity, pride, and immense satisfaction in a job well done. That's what it's about - working together. We did not reach our fundraising goal of $100,000, but we still have an opportunity to make it happen! We are extending the deadline until May 15. We are looking for creative ways to raise those final funds to enable us to earn our day off on May 25. Donate Here.

Let's finish the year strong and complete. We are an exemplary community and there is really nothing we can't do. Thank you for your love, your support, your hard work, your enthusiasm, your donations of time and money, and your extraordinary spirit. You leave your mark on all of us.

THANK YOU to the incredibly committed parents we have at CEA, who support our philosophy and trust us. Thank you to those who took time out of their busy schedules to volunteer during our Spirit Week and Walk for the Future.

THANK YOU to our sponsors, Rana Furniture and Sedano's, for your generosity and commitment to CEA.

THANK YOU to our teachers, who bring us alive with their enthusiasm and spirit and who educate our children, allowing them to see the world differently and find out who they are so that they can shine in any path they choose to take.

THANK YOU to our students, especially our 8th graders, who worked extremely hard on Friday, ensuring that all of the students had sufficient water and that everything ran smoothly during Walk for the Future.

THANK YOU to all of you for
JOINING THE LEGACY. YOU ARE CONCHITA.

What is it? Walk for the Future is an opportunity for all members of our community to come together in a spirit of pride and unity. Our goal is to raise $100,000 in total which translates to $3,500 per class. This money will be collectively raised through students obtaining sponsors, class projects, corporate sponsorships, etc.

When is it? Friday, March 27, 2015

What will we do on that day? Students will complete their walk, stopping at fun stations, enjoy field activities, and watch a movie. (Parents may come walk, too!)

Are there any prizes awarded? The top sellers in the school (K-2, 3-5, 6-8) will be recognized with a plaque that will be displayed in the hallway and will grace the cover of Conchita Magazine.

What will students wear? On that day everyone may wear jeans and the 2015 Walk for the Future t-shirt. Classes having 100% participation and meeting their goal may wear the Walk for the Future t-shirt and jeans every Friday till the end of school.

Who is expected to participate? Each of us in the CEA community is expected to do his/her best to insure we meet our goal of 100% participation in meeting our $100,000 goal.

All things are possible when you have passionate people working together for a common goal!
